About Papers

30 November 2008

The Craft Australia Research Centre calls for research papers from the craft and design sector on specific themes and research areas. The papers are peer-reviewed by an international panel of peer-reviewers and published online. The call for papers encourages academically rigorous research in craft and design and submissions are invited from researchers, policy makers, educators, students and practitioners.

A call for papers will be announced in October 2009. Selected papers will be published in Craft and Design Enquiry e-journal in 2011.

2009   Cross cultural exchanges in craft and design
The Craft Australia Research Centre sought contributions for 2009 on the theme - Cross cultural exchanges in craft and design. We invite papers that interrogate cross-cultural practices, communicate the breadth of activity across cultural exchanges, and establish a dialogue between practice and policy for a rich and sustainable culture.
The call for papers is now closed. Papers will be published Craft and Design Enquiry e-journal in late 2010.

2008   Migratory practices: exchanges between anthropology, art, craft and design
