Since we opened the petition to Save Craft Australia last month on the 28th of October we have had 1,754 responses with 99.9 % supporting Craft Australia. This is what people around the nation and internationally are saying about what Craft Australia means to them. We have kept names anonymous for this overview in order to give voice to the support we have received. This petition will be presented to the Minister and the new Director of the Visual Arts Board early next year .

Letter to the VAB of the Australia Council   by Brian Parkes   26 October 2011
Letter to the Visual Arts Board on the defunding of Craft Australia submittted by Brian Parkes, Chief Executive Officer , JamFactory and Australian Craft and Design Centres (ACDC) representative on the Board of Craft Australia. The Visual Arts Board of the Australia Council announced in October that it would defund Craft Australia. Without its financial support Craft Australia will be forced to close and its significant 40 year legacy will be lost. The network of Australian Craft and Design Centres, (ACDC), support Craft Australia in seeking to revoke the Visual Arts Board, (VAB) decision.
Submission to the Review of the National Innovation System   by Catrina Vignando   30 May 2008
A Review of the National Innovation System was established by the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research in February 2008. Submissions were invited from the sector and industry groups for delivery by 30 April 2008. Dr Terry Cutler chaired the review committee. Craft Australia consulted with the craft and design sector to develop a submission in response to the terms of reference established by the review committee.
